Somebody still has to read it

A post proposing AI;DR hit #1 on Hacker News: if you didn’t read and edit what the model produced, don’t expect the author to read it either. Producing a wall of text became free. Reading one didn’t, and that gap is the whole point: unedited output doesn’t vanish, it just moves from the one person who could have caught it to everyone downstream.

I draft with these tools every day too, so the question I actually care about is whether anyone read the thing before sending it, which is also why I review and finalize my own pull requests before I ask somebody else to. I don’t always clear that bar myself, plenty of what I produce still runs too long, gets too complicated, or just isn’t worth anyone’s time, and catching that in my own drafts is a slow, ongoing lesson.
